18. delf junior

The DELF Junior (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) is an official diploma awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. It assesses and certifies the French proficiency of teenagers according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from level A1 to B2.

This diploma is internationally recognized and specifically designed for young learners, with topics related to their daily lives (school, leisure, social life).

The French Institute of Rwanda does not recommend or certify any external training center.
We invite the public to remain vigilant towards organizations presenting themselves as partners or affiliates without official approval.
The French Institute of Rwanda does not charge registration fees and does not sell exam places.
Exam registrations are carried out exclusively online.
Only candidates who have secured a place are invited to pay the exam fees to confirm their registration.

The DELF assesses four skills:

Speaking
Reading comprehension
Writing skills

FRENCH LEVELS

The DELF Junior certifies levels A1, A2, B1, and B2:

A1

Beginner

Understand and use simple everyday expressions.

A2

Elementary

Communicate in simple and predictable situations.

B1

Intermediate

Express yourself with ease and understand more complex texts.

B2

Upper-inter

Communicate clearly and develop ideas on various topics.

REGISTRATION STEPS:

  1. Create your client account or log in
  2. Choose the exam you are interested in 
  3. Click on “Register” 
  4. Complete your cart 
  5. Receive your invoice by email 
  6. Pay the invoice (by bank card or transfer only), then send proof of payment to: accueil@if-rwanda.org 
  7. Receive your payment receipt 
  8. Wait for your exam invitation

Scoring system

  • Each skill is marked out of 25 points, for a total of 100 points 
  • To pass: 50/100 overall, with no score below 5/25 in any section 
  • The final result validates an official level (A1 to B2) 
  • An official certificate is issued with the results

Invitation and results

  • Exam invitation sent by email before the test 
  • Results available within 2 to 3 weeks 
  • Official diploma valid for life

PAYMENT METHODS

● Card payment at the reception
● Bank transfer or deposit (details provided on the invoice)
● No cash or mobile money payments
Payment must be made within 3 days after receiving the invoice.
