French Summer Camp
3 weeks – From 6 to 24 July 2026
Give your child an enriching holiday experience in a stimulating, creative and caring French-speaking environment.
The French Summer Camp is the first French immersion camp in Kigali for children aged 6 to 12. Over three weeks, participants develop their language skills while taking part in artistic, cultural and creative activities adapted to their age.
Who is it for?
The camp is open to children aged 6 to 12, whether they are:
- Beginners in French
• Currently learning French
• French speakers wishing to strengthen their skills
Groups are organised according to participants’ age and French level to ensure learning is adapted to each child.
A French Immersion Programme
Morning: French Immersion (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Children learn and practise French through:
- Educational and interactive games
• Songs and fun activities
• Stories and adapted reading materials
• Everyday vocabulary development
• Conversation and speaking workshops
• Discovery of Francophone cultures
• Collaborative activities that encourage communication and self-confidence
The teaching approach encourages active participation, allowing children to make natural progress in both understanding and speaking French.
Lunch Break and Relaxation Time (12:00 pm – 2:00 pm)
Children bring their own lunch.
The lunch break is a time for relaxation and social interaction, supervised by volunteers and activity leaders. Children can rest, talk and enjoy a pleasant moment together in a safe environment.
Afternoon: Arts & Creativity (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
Participants develop their imagination and creativity through:
- Theatre and stage expression
• Dance and body expression
• Choir and musical games
• Storytelling and creative writing
• Board games in French
These activities allow children to practise French in a dynamic and motivating environment while building their self-confidence.
